What are the side effects of ivermectin tablets?

ivermectin doses for humans, when used for their intended purpose, are generally well-tolerated. However, like any medication, they can potentially cause side effects. Common side effects of ivermectin tablets may include dizziness, headache, nausea, diarrhea, and stomach pain.

In rare cases, more severe side effects can occur, such as allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), difficulty breathing, chest pain, and rapid heartbeat. If any of these serious side effects occur, immediate medical attention should be sought.

It is important to note that while ivermectin tablets is primarily used to treat parasitic infections in humans and animals, it has gained attention for its potential off-label use in treating COVID-19. However, the scientific evidence supporting its efficacy for COVID-19 is limited and inconclusive. Additionally, self-medication or taking high doses of ivermectin meant for animals can be dangerous and even fatal.
