The Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) released its 'Foliage Timetable' telling the best dates to visit the royal palaces, Jongmyo Shrine, and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty for beautiful autumn foliage.

The autumn foliage at the cultural heritage sites in the Seoul metropolitan area started in late October and is expected to continue till the end of November. At some of these sites a wide variety of events will take place celebrating this gorgeous season of autumnal tints. Such events as 'Tea etiquette experience,' 'Making a bookmark with autumn leaves,' 'Walk along the street of autumn leaves,' or 'Fall flowers exhibition' that go great with the season will be held free of charge.

Admission to Gyeongbokgung Palance and Changdeokggung Palace is 3,000 won, while fees ranging between 500 won and 1,000 won (for adults) apply for entering the rest of the palaces and the Jongmyo Shrine.
