There are four ways to find free HHA classes and save yourself hundreds, or even thousands of dollars in tuition.
Home Health Care Agencies. Nurse aides and caregivers are in high demand, so the first option is to contact home health care agencies to ask if they offer free training for HHA jobs. All home health aide agencies that offer services to patients on Medicare or Medicaid must have certified nurse aides. Many agencies offer the HHA training for free - but only if you then work for them for six months or a year.
FedCap. The second way to enroll in free home health aide training in NYC is through FedCap. FedCap charges a one-time, $40 book fee for nursing assistant students in its HHA training program.
